Microsoft selling Nokia Lumia 520 on eBay for $29

The most popular Windows Phone in history, the Nokia Lumia 520, is about to become even more popular. The entry-level handset is now available on eBay from Microsoft for only $29. That is a 70% discount from the list price. So far, over 8000 units have been sold. The phone runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and Microsoft's Joe Belfiore has said that the software giant is looking for a way to allow at least some of Windows 10's features to run on lower-end Lumia models.  

The Nokia Lumia 520 comes with a 4-inch screen offering a resolution of 480 x 800. A dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 Plus CPU powers the handset while the Adreno 305 GPU handles the graphics. 512MB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of native storage. Those requiring additional memory can use the 64GB capacity microSD slot. A 5MP camera is on back and a 1430mAh battery keeps the lights on. The model connects to AT&T's GoPhone pre-paid service.

We're not sure how many units Microsoft has left to sell, but if you are looking to get your kid that smartphone you promised him/her, you are going to be hard-pressed to find one at this price
